Christy Lefteri

Christy Lefteri is a highly acclaimed historical and literary fiction author, who was born in London in 1980 to Greek Cypriot parents. Lefteri's family had moved to London in 1974, and it is this cultural background that has greatly influenced her writing. She completed her undergraduate degree in English and a Masters in creative writing at Brunel University, where she developed her passion for storytelling.

After completing her studies, Lefteri taught English to foreign students and then became a secondary school teacher. However, she left teaching to pursue a PhD and to focus on her writing. Lefteri's dedication to her craft is evident in her ability to balance her writing with her studies, as she is currently also training to become a psychotherapist.
