Cindy's writing journey began in childhood, when she would tell stories to her dolls, teddy bears, and neighborhood playmates. Her passion for writing was rekindled after college, but it wasn't until her daughter got married that she had the time to pursue her dream of writing and publishing Christian historical fiction. Cindy's writing is characterized by her deep faith, her love for history, and her ability to weave true historical events into her fiction seamlessly. Her manuscripts have won numerous awards, including the Touched by Love Award, the First Impressions contest, and the Sandra Robbins Inspirational Writing Award. They have also finaled in the Maggie Award of Excellence and the Cascade Awards, and semi-finaled in the Genesis contest.
Cindy is an extrovert who loves playing the piano and singing in the choir at her church. She is known for her talkative nature, which sometimes gets her into trouble, and for her ability to drive her friends crazy with her constant chatter. However, her outgoing personality has also made her a popular teacher and a beloved member of her community. After thirty-two years in education, Cindy retired to pursue her writing career full-time. When she's not writing, Cindy enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and cooking with her gourmet chef husband. Above all, Cindy is passionate about pointing people to Jesus Christ, her Redeemer, and sharing the joy that He has brought into her life.
