Claire Fuller

Claire Fuller is a successful short fiction writer and novelist. She was born in Oxfordshire, England and studied sculpture at Winchester School of Art for her first degree. After a long career in the marketing industry, Fuller decided to pursue her passion for writing at the age of 40. She earned a Master's degree with distinction in Creative and Critical Writing from The University of Winchester. Fuller currently resides near Winchester, England with her husband and their cat, Alan. She is also a proud mother to two grown children.

Claire Fuller is the author of five critically acclaimed novels. Her most recent work, The Memory of Animals, was published in the US and Canada on June 23, 2023, in addition to its UK release. Her previous novel, Unsettled Ground, won the prestigious Costa Novel Award in 2021 and was shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction. Fuller's debut novel, Our Endless Numbered Days, won the 2015 Desmond Elliott Prize for debut fiction. Her other works include Swimming Lessons, which was shortlisted for the Encore Prize for second novels, and Bitter Orange, which was longlisted for the International Dublin Literary Award.
