Claire Lombardo is an American author best known for her debut novel, "The Most Fun We Ever Had," published in 2019. The novel became a New York Times bestseller and was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction. Originally conceived as a short story, it evolved into a sprawling family saga that has been translated into over a dozen languages. The book is currently being adapted into a television series produced by Laura Dern and Amy Adams, with Lombardo contributing to the screenplay.
Lombardo earned her MFA in fiction from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and has a background in social work, having spent several years in Chicago before transitioning to writing. She now teaches fiction writing and resides in Iowa City, Iowa, continuing to build her literary career.
