Clare MacKintosh is a highly acclaimed author, best known for her thrilling mystery and crime novels. Originally from England, MacKintosh served as a police officer and public order commander before leaving to pursue a career in freelance writing. Using her experience in law enforcement, she wrote her debut novel, I Let You Go, which became an instant bestseller and won the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year in 2016.
