Coco Mellors is a British-American writer and the New York Times bestselling author of "Cleopatra and Frankenstein" and "Blue Sisters." Her novels have been translated into over 25 languages and are being adapted for television. Mellors holds an MFA in Fiction from New York University, where she was a Goldwater fellow, and her work spans literary fiction with a focus on complex relationships, identity, and emotional depth.
Born in London, Mellors moved to New York as a teenager, which later became a prominent setting in her writing. Her debut novel, "Cleopatra and Frankenstein," garnered critical acclaim for its sharp dialogue and exploration of love, art, and self-destruction. In addition to fiction, her non-fiction essays have appeared in Vogue, The Stack, and The New York Times' "Modern Love" column. Mellors currently divides her time between New York and Los Angeles with her family.
