Codi Gary is a successful author of contemporary romance novels, hailing from Northern California. After moving to Idaho in 2011, she found herself reading all the books on her shelf during the long, cold winters and playing peek-a-boo with her children. It was during one of these quiet moments that she decided to make a list of goals to achieve before turning thirty. Among them was the desire to lose weight and to complete at least one of the novels she had started. By August 2012, she had finished her very first novel, set in the rural town of Rock Canyon, Idaho. This marked the beginning of her professional writing career, and she has been publishing ever since.
Gary's love for books began at a young age. From the time she was able to read along with Disney Book cassettes, she was hooked. She dreamed of becoming one of the magical people who brought stories to life, and her first romance novel left a lasting impression on her. She has always been a fan of happy endings and romantic gestures, and strives to incorporate these elements into her own stories. Gary is honored to be a part of Avon and thrilled to see her own dreams coming true.
Growing up in a small town in Northern California, Gary developed a love for reading and writing as an escape. She attempted to finish a story many times, but life, school, and love always seemed to get in the way. It wasn't until 2012, while her children were napping and her husband was at work, that she sat down at her laptop and made a list of things she wanted to accomplish before turning thirty. Top of the list was losing weight, followed by finishing one of her novels. After writing "THE END" on her very first full-length novel, she submitted it to Avon Books for their new digital imprint. To her delight, they accepted it, and her career as a published author took off. She is now a member of the RWA Honor Roll and has sold over 100,000 copies of her first full-length novel, "Things Good Girls Don't Do." Gary is currently working on several projects and trying to resist the lure of Tik Tok.
