Connie Berry

Connie Berry is a celebrated author, best known for her captivating Kate Hamilton Mysteries series. Born in Racine, Wisconsin, Berry's parents were second-generation immigrants from the British Isles and Scandinavia, a heritage that would later influence her writing.

Berry's upbringing was deeply intertwined with the world of antiques, as both her parents were antiques dealers. This early exposure to history, fine art, and travel instilled in her a lifelong passion for these subjects, which would later become central themes in her work. During her college years, Berry had the opportunity to study at the University of Freiburg in Germany and St. Clare's College, Oxford. It was during this time that she fell under the spell of the British Isles, a region that would become the backdrop for her acclaimed mystery series.

Berry's Kate Hamilton Mysteries feature an American antiques dealer with a gift for solving crimes, set against the picturesque landscapes of the UK. In 2019, Berry was awarded the IPPY Gold Medal for Mystery and was a finalist for the Agatha Award’s Best Debut. She is an active member of Mystery Writers of America and serves on the board of the Guppies and her local Sisters in Crime chapter.

In addition to her love of writing and all things British, Berry is passionate about history, foreign travel, cute animals, and is happily married, living in Ohio with her husband and their adorable Shih Tzu, Emmie.
