Courtney Alameda is a talented young adult fantasy author, who has been a librarian and bookseller for most of her life. She has always had a passion for great books and it was only natural for her to join the ranks of authors creating them. Alameda's debut novel, "Shutter," was nominated for the prestigious Bram Stoker award, highlighting her exceptional writing skills. With a background in English and a strong emphasis on creative writing, Alameda has been able to craft fresh and thrilling stories that captivate readers.

Alameda holds a B.A. in English literature and is represented by John M. Cusick of Folio Literary. She has a particular interest in writing thriller and horror novels for young people. Alameda's forthcoming novel, "Pitch Dark," is a science fiction/horror blend, showcasing her ability to write across different genres. In addition to this, she has also co-authored "Seven Deadly Shadows," an urban fantasy set in Japan, with Valynne Maetani.

Alameda is a Northern California native, but currently resides in Utah with her husband, a legion of books, and a tiny five-pound cat with a giant personality.
