Elaine Everest is a highly accomplished author, known for her historical saga novels and non-fiction books. She was born and raised in North West Kent, where she developed a deep interest in the war years, which she would later feature in her "Woolworths Girls" series. Everest has worked as a freelance writer for over twenty years, contributing to women's magazines and national newspapers with her short stories and features.
In addition to her writing, Everest runs a creative writing school called The Write Place in Huxtable, Kent. She is passionate about dogs, especially sheepdogs, and has written about them as well as appearing on the radio to discuss the subject. Everest is also a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, The Crime Writers Association, and the The Society of Women Writers & Journalists.
