Elaine Levine was born as the third child of a father who only wanted sons. Despite this challenging beginning, Levine has become a well-known author, best recognized for her Red Team Contemporary book series and various Historical Western series, including Men of Defiance. She currently resides on the Colorado plains with her husband, a rescued pit-bull, and a parrot.
Levine's work has been praised by critics and fellow authors alike. Joan Johnston, a New York Times bestselling author, described Levine as a "wonderfully fresh and original voice in western romance." Her novels, such as "RACHEL AND THE HIRED GUN" and "AUDREY AND THE MAVERICK," are known for their fast-paced action, powerful emotions, and appealing protagonists. According to Library Journal, these elements make her books "one that fans are sure to enjoy."
