Elizabeth Chadwick is a highly respected and successful author of historical fiction, best known for her series featuring the real-life historical figure William Marshal. From a young age, Chadwick has been inventing stories, but it wasn't until she was 15 that she began to write them down. After completing a story set in the Holy Land during the 12th century, she realized that writing was her true passion and what she wanted to do for a living.
Chadwick's writing career took off later in her life, but she has since become one of the most prolific and successful publishers of historical novels in the world. With several dozen works in publication, many of which have been bestsellers in Europe and the United States, Chadwick has proven herself to be a true prodigy in the field. Her books have been translated into 16 languages and are beloved by readers around the world for their meticulous attention to detail and rich historical context.
According to many experts, Chadwick's success can be attributed to the extensive research she conducts for each and every one of her novels. This dedication to accuracy and authenticity has earned her a reputation as one of the most reliable and trustworthy authors of historical fiction working today.
In addition to her writing, Chadwick is also an active member of the historical re-enactment group Regia Anglorum. When she's not at her desk, she can often be found taking long walks with her dogs, baking cakes, reading books, exploring ruins, listening to rock and metal music, and participating in historical re-enactments. She currently resides in a cottage in the Vale of Belvoir in Nottinghamshire with her husband and their four terriers.
