Elizabeth Hoyt is a highly accomplished author, best known for her historical romance novels. She has earned numerous accolades for her work, including being a New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today bestselling author. Hoyt was born in New Orleans but grew up in the colder climate of St. Paul, Minnesota. As a child, she was fortunate enough to travel extensively, living in various places such as Scotland, Germany, France, Belgium, and even spending a summer as an exchange student in Kawasaki, Japan. She also spent a year in Oxford, England, during her college years.
Hoyt's love for travel and different cultures is often reflected in her writing, particularly in her Maiden Lane series. She attended the University of Wisconsin, where she earned a degree in Anthropology. After taking some time off to raise her two children, Hoyt realized that her true passion lay in storytelling. She now writes full-time, crafting both historical and contemporary romance novels under her own name and as Julia Harper. Hoyt currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband, three untrained dogs, and a garden that requires constant care.
