Elizabeth Moon

Elizabeth Moon is a renowned American author, best known for her military science fiction and fantasy novels. She was born in 1945 in South Texas and developed an early interest in writing, starting at the age of six. Growing up near the Mexican border, Moon was influenced by her surroundings and the subjects that interested her as a child, often incorporating these elements into her stories. Despite her passion for writing, Moon recognized the importance of financial stability and pursued various careers before fully dedicating herself to her craft.

Moon's writing career began in earnest in the 1980s, following her service in the US Marine Corps and her completion of degrees in history and biology.
