Emilia Rosa is a Brazilian author who was raised in Rio de Janeiro and spent her childhood years surrounded by the sea. Her love for the ocean and Rio de Janeiro, as well as the city's history, can be seen in the pages of her first fiction book, Finding Cristina. As a teenager, she was an avid reader in multiple languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, and Italian. In recent years, she has developed a fondness for murder mysteries written during the Golden Age of Detective Fiction.
After moving back to the United States, Emilia has published poetry and the sequel to Finding Cristina, titled FINDING CRISTINA: A NEW LIVE. She is active on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Goodreads, and Twitter, where she engages with her readers. Emilia's writing has been well-received by critics and readers alike. Diane Donovan of the Midwest Book Review described her work as "delightful" and "spunky," while Doug Cooper praised her ability to "straddle the genres of romance, historical fiction, and thriller."
In addition to her writing, Emilia is also a popular speaker and has presented at various events, including book discussions and meetings of the Rotary, Huron Rotary Club, Research Club of Willard, Sandusky Lions Club, and Fremont Kiwanis. She shares stories and pictures of Brazil and Rio de Janeiro's history, culture, architecture, and beaches, providing a unique and cultured travelogue-style program. Emilia is currently working on the third sequel to Finding Cristina and continues to engage with her readers on social media.
