Emily Bleeker is a successful American author, known for her work in the psychological thriller and women's fiction genres. Originally from the Chicago area, Bleeker now resides in the suburbs with her family. In addition to her writing and parenting responsibilities, she enjoys learning guitar, singing along to the radio, and pursuing fitness activities.
Before becoming an author, Bleeker was an educator. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for writing, after introducing a writer's workshop to her students. She found a whole world of characters and stories living inside her mind, and it was a battle with a rare form of cancer that gave her the courage to share this world with others. Bleeker's writing is highly regarded, with her first book, "Wreckage," reaching the number two spot on Amazon after its release in 2014. The novel, published by Lake Union Publishers, tells the story of an airplane crash followed by a compelling love story. Another notable work by Bleeker is "When I Am Gone," released in 2016, which tells the story of a woman with a rare form of disease who is nearing the end of her life. The novel features love letters that reach the woman's family members after her death.
