Emily Liebert

Emily Liebert is a USA Today bestselling author, known for her women's fiction, contemporary adult fiction, thriller, chick-lit, romance, and mystery stories. She has written a total of seven novels, with her first, "You Know Me When," published in 2013. Her subsequent novels, "When We Fall," "Those Secrets We Keep," "Some Women," and "Pretty Revenge" have all been successful, with her most recent novel, "Perfectly Famous," released on June 2, 2020. Liebert's books have been published under Penguin Random House, and she has been featured in various media outlets, including Oprah Radio, Today Show, Martha Stewart Radio, Anderson Cooper, The Couch, The NY Times, The NY Post, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal, Boston Herald, and more.

Emily was born and raised in New York City and attended the Horace Mann School and Smith College, where she graduated with a B.A. in English Language & Literature. After college, Emily worked as an Executive Assistant at ABC News, where she honed her organizational skills and helped produce television specials for Peter Jennings Reporting. Emily then became the Editor-in-Chief of The WAG, a luxury lifestyle magazine covering Westchester and Fairfield Counties. During her five-year tenure, she wrote hundreds of articles, including celebrity profiles, travel, fashion, and beauty. Emily later became a full-time freelance writer, penning lifestyle pieces for media outlets such as The Huffington Post, Oprah.com, Elite Traveler, Robb Report, Gotham, and Cottages & Gardens.

Emily has also worked as a spokesperson for Microsoft, appearing on TV and radio stations nationwide. In 2009, Emily edited Kerry Kennedy's New York Times bestseller "Being Catholic Now: Prominent Americans Talk About Change in the Church and the Quest for Meaning." Emily's first book, "Facebook Fairytales," was featured at the 2010 Frankfurt Book Fair, and she was one of 20 guests of honor at the Literary Feast 2010. When Emily is not writing, she teaches Pure Barre classes and enjoys traveling, cooking, eating, and reading. She lives with her husband, Lewis, and their two sons, Jax and Hugo, in Westport, CT. Emily is known for riding on a Harley Davidson and doing a mean Running Man on the dance floor. She moved to Westport, CT, kicking and screaming for fear that there would be no Chinese food delivery at three in the morning. She was right.
