Emma Lord is a successful author based in New York City. She is best known for her witty reinvention of the rom-com in her smash debut novel, "Tweet Cute," which was released in 2020. In this book, Lord takes classic romantic tropes and updates them with buzzy twists, creating a fresh and modern love story. Following the success of "Tweet Cute," Lord released her second novel, "You Have A Match," in 2021.
In addition to her work as a novelist, Lord is also a digital media editor and writer. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a major in psychology and a minor in how to tilt your computer screen so nobody will notice you updating your fan fiction from the back row. Lord is also an active member of the New York City community, spending her time outside of writing running or belting show tunes in community theater.
It's important to note that there is also a mystery series written by Mary Daheim called "Emma Lord" which tells the story of a small-town newspaper owner and editor in Alpine, Washington. The first book in this series is called “The Alpine Advocate”, and the setting of the story is one year after Emma has been a publisher-editor of the Alpine Advocate, which is the name of her publication. At this juncture she is looking for a major story to spice up the newspaper, but it's important to clarify that this is a different Emma Lord, and not the author of "Tweet Cute" and "You Have A Match".
