Emma Rowley is a highly accomplished author, editor, and ghostwriter. She began her career in journalism after obtaining her master’s degree in Classics and English from the University of Oxford and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from City University. Rowley has worked as a video journalist, writer, and reporter for various prestigious publications, including the Daily Express, the Evening Standard, and the Sunday Mirror. She is perhaps best known for breaking the “MPs are on rations” story while at the Sunday Mirror.
As an editor, Rowley has worked for notable publications such as The Daily Mail and The Telegraph, where she was responsible for planning and commissioning first-person stories, news features, interviews, investigations, and opinion pieces. She is currently an assistant editor at Grazia. In addition to her work in journalism and editing, Rowley has also been involved in ghostwriting non-fiction works, including real-life and celebrity projects that have become bestsellers.
Rowley is also a successful novelist, having written the Edgar award-winning novel “Where The Missing Go” under her own name. She is also the author of the mass market and Sunday Times bestseller “Behind the Scenes at Downton Abbey.” Rowley grew up in Cheshire and currently resides in London.
