Emma, born in England in August 1981, grew up immersed in science fiction, fantasy, and supernatural stories. After moving to Illinois in the 1990s, she began writing short stories, poetry, and songs, sharing them with friends. Though life events - including moves, military deployments, and family responsibilities - delayed her progress, she persisted in her writing ambitions. Her debut novel, "Vampire Reborn," was initially published by a vanity press in 2010 before she reclaimed the rights and self-published it in 2011.
Drawing from her multicultural upbringing as an Air Force "brat" who lived in both Europe and America, Emma's work often explores themes of resilience and transformation. Her early passion for speculative fiction evolved into a career marked by perseverance, as she overcame setbacks like hard drive crashes and demanding day jobs before committing to writing full-time. While "Vampire Reborn" remains her most notable published work, her creative journey reflects a lifelong dedication to storytelling across genres, particularly fantasy and the supernatural.
