Eric Puchner is an acclaimed author known for his novels and short story collections. His works include the novels "Model Home" and "Dream State", along with the short story collections "Last Day on Earth" and "Music Through the Floor". "Model Home" was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award, won a California Book Award, and received a Barnes & Noble Discover Award. His debut collection, "Music Through the Floor", was a finalist for the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Award.
Puchner’s fiction and nonfiction have appeared in prominent publications such as GQ, Tin House, Granta, and The Best American Short Stories. He has received numerous honors, including a Pushcart Prize, a Wallace Stegner Fellowship, and a National Endowment for the Arts grant. Previously a professor at Claremont McKenna College, he is now an associate professor at Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Baltimore with his wife, novelist Katharine Noel, and their two children.
