Erica Ferencik

Erica Ferencik is an accomplished American author, known for her thrilling novels and non-fiction books. She has also made a name for herself as a screenwriter and stand-up comedian. Ferencik earned her Bachelor of Arts in painting and French from the University of Massachusetts, and later obtained her Master of Arts in creative writing from Boston University. Her comedic background includes performing stand-up in various clubs in Boston and New York City for over a decade. She also worked as a writer for the popular late-night talk show hosted by David Letterman.

Ferencik's debut novel, The River at Night, gained significant recognition when Oprah selected it as a #1 Pick, describing it as "the page-turning novel you've been waiting for, a heart-pounding debut." Entertainment Weekly also praised the book, naming it a "Must Read" and highlighting its "harrowing...visceral, white knuckle rush" qualities. The novel has been optioned for a film by Miramax.
