Erin Summerill is an accomplished author, known for her work in young adult fantasy. She was born in England and raised on various Air Force bases in Hawaii, California, and England. Eventually, her family settled in Utah where she pursued her higher education. Summerill graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in English.
In addition to being an author, Summerill has also worked as a high school English teacher and a professional photographer. Her photography has received critical acclaim and has been featured in national and international publications. She has a strong connection to Hawaii, which she considers her ancestral land.
Summerill's writing career took off with the publication of her young adult fantasy novel, "Ever The Hunted," by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. The book was well-received and even short-listed for the Beehive Book Award. She followed up with the sequel, "Ever the Brave."
Summerill is a proud Air Force brat and her experiences living in different parts of the world have greatly influenced her writing. She currently resides in Utah with her husband and four children, where she continues to write and teach at conferences and workshops. She is also working on a Master of Fine Arts in Writing Fiction for Children at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
