Esther M. Friesner

Esther Friesner is a highly prolific and acclaimed author, best known for her work in the fantasy and science fiction genres. She has an impressive body of work, having written over 200 distinct pieces. Friesner's educational background is equally impressive, with a B.A in Drama and Spanish from Vassar College, followed by a Spanish M.A and Ph.D. from Yale University, which she completed in just five years. After teaching Spanish at Yale, Friesner decided to focus on writing full-time.

Friesner's writing career has been incredibly successful, with numerous awards and accolades to her name. She has published 27 novels, including "Temping Fate" from Penguin-Puffin and "Nobody's Princess" from Random House. Friesner has also won the Romantic Times award for Best New Fantasy Writer in 1986 and the Skylark Award in 1994. Her short story "All Vows" took second place in the Asimov's SF Magazine Readers' Poll for 1993 and was a finalist for the Nebula in 1994. Friesner's novel, "Warchild," made the USA TODAY bestseller list.

Friesner currently resides in Connecticut with her husband and two children, where she continues to write and create captivating stories for her many fans.
