Eugenia Lovett West

Eugenia Lovett West is a mystery author who was born in Boston, Massachusetts in February 1923. She attended Sarah Lawrence College and began her career working for Harper’s Bazaar before moving on to work with the American Red Cross. After getting married and starting a family, West became interested in writing once again in the 1960s. She started working for local newspapers in New Jersey but soon developed a passion for writing novels.

West's interest in writing longer forms of fiction was sparked by her desire to move beyond the 300-word articles she was writing at the time. She has written several books, including those in the Emma Street series. At the age of 96, West continues to write and publish, which she hopes will inspire younger writers to pursue their craft at any age.

In addition to her mystery novels, West has also written a historical novel set during the American Revolution called "Sarah's War," which was published in April 2019. She takes pride in immersing her readers in different worlds and providing them with engaging stories. West's website, EugeniaLovettWest.com, provides more information about her and her work.
