Eva García Sáenz is a highly successful Spanish novelist, best known for her Inspector Unai Lopez de Ayala series and her White City Trilogy. She was born in Vitoria and has lived in Alicante since she was fifteen. Prior to her writing career, she held various management positions in the optical sector and taught courses on writing and blog management at the University of Alicante.
García Sáenz began her writing career by self-publishing her work on Amazon, where one of her novels became a literary phenomenon and bestseller thanks to enthusiastic reader reviews. Her debut novel, "The Immortal Collection," was published by a traditional publisher in Spain and went on to become a bestseller in the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States, and Latin America. She has since published several other novels in Spanish, including "The Silence of the White City," the first book in her White City Trilogy.
In addition to her success as a novelist, García Sáenz has also won several awards for her short stories, including the "2nd Short Story Contest Tiendas I+" and the "Best Institutional Blog 2010" for her work on the institutional blog of the Library of the University of Alicante. She has also been a student of writing courses with Angel Zapata and Mariana Garcia Luna. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Planeta Prize for her novel "Aquitania."
