M.J. Rose is a bestselling American author, known for her thriller and suspense novels. She has two series to her name - the Butterfield Institute series, which features a sex therapist named Dr. Morgan Snow, and the Reincarnationist series, which delves into the theme of reincarnation.
Raised in New York City, Rose spent much of her childhood in the labyrinthine galleries of the Metropolitan Museum and the dark tunnels and lush gardens of Central Park. This upbringing sparked her interest in magic and mystery, which is a recurring theme in her works. She believes that these elements are often overlooked in our daily lives, and her writing serves as a reminder to her readers to be more attentive to the magic and mystery around them. Rose currently resides in Connecticut with her husband, Doug Scofield, a composer and musician, and their dog, Winka.
In addition to her writing, Rose is also a book marketing executive and the founder of Authorbuzz.com, a marketing company for authors. She is a graduate of Syracuse University and has had a commercial displayed in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Rose's work has been featured in various magazines, including Oprah Magazine, The Adventurine, and Newsweek, and she has been featured on the Today Show, NPR radio, and other media outlets. She is also a co-founder of 1001DarkNights.com and TheBlueBoxPress.com. Rose is one of the founding board members of International Thriller Writers and currently serves as the organization's co-president, alongside Lee Child.
