M.P. Wright, whose real name is Mark Wright, is a bestselling author of crime novels based in the United Kingdom. He was born in Leicestershire in 1965 and had a variety of jobs in the music industry before becoming a private investigator. Wright later decided to retrain in 1989 and spent the next two decades working in the mental health and probation services in the UK, specializing in risk assessment.
Wright is a self-proclaimed enthusiast of film, music, and real ale, and is also a father of two daughters. He lives with his wife and their two Rottweiler dogs, Clover and Dylan. Wright's passion for writing led him to become a published author in 2014, with the release of his first novel, "Heartman," which is the first book in the JT Ellington series.
