Madison Kent

Madison Kent is a published poet and mystery novelist who developed her passion for writing while she was a young girl in the city of Chicago. She spent much of her time at the library near Humboldt Park, where she believed that the written word could unlock doors to the imagination and unite our spirits through our visions.

Kent is the author of several mystery novels, including "The Mystery at Belle Magnolia," "Stalking Jack," "The Harrison," "Some Saints Prey," "Silver Bells Slaying," "A Smidgeon of Ghosts," "Devil on Deck," "Sweet Murder," "Smoked in Ybor," "Death at The Detroit," and "A Gypsy's Grave." Her books feature the aggressive but flawed female sleuth, Madeline Donovan, who finds herself in the midst of various mysteries and crimes.

In addition to her work as a novelist, Kent is also a poetry contributor to several publications, including Sacramento Free Press, Pomona Valley Review #7 and 8, The Voices Project, The UK Poetry Library, Creations Magazine, and Prose and Rhyme. She has also contributed short stories to Prose and Rose and The Book Patch.
