Maja Lunde

Maja Lunde is a highly successful literary fiction author, who has made a significant impact in Norwegian literature. She has sold over 2.5 million copies of her works, which have been translated into more than forty languages. Lunde has written more than a dozen young adult and children's books, including "The Coolest Gang in the World" series, "Across the Border," and "Battle." In 2018, she published "The Snow Sister," a children's book that became one of the biggest literary successes in Norwegian literature for decades, gaining international recognition and published by different publishers worldwide.

Maja Lunde's first adult novel, "The History of Bees," published in 2015, has received a range of awards, including the Norwegian Booksellers' Prize. Its rights have been sold in more than 35 jurisdictions across the globe. In 2017, the novel was a bestselling title in Germany, far outselling any other book. Lunde's second novel, "Blue," published in 2017, has also achieved significant success and is licensed for publication in more than 20 countries.

In addition to her work as a novelist, Lunde is also a screenwriter who has written scripts for Norwegian television. She has worked on children's series such as "Barnas supershow" and "Side om Side," as well as the drama series "Hjem." Lunde lives with her husband and three children in Oslo.
