The book was also named a Silver Falchion finalist and a Mystery & Mayhem finalist in the Chanticleer International Book Awards. Her follow-up novel, "The Counterfeit Wife," published in September 2022, has similarly been recognized as "a riveting and unpredictable crime drama" and received an Agatha Award nomination. Before transitioning to full-time writing, Becker practiced law and served on the board of MWA-NY. Her passion for history was reignited while volunteering at the Morristown National Historical Park, where she uncovered an 18th-century indictment that inspired her series. She is currently working on the third installment of her Revolutionary War mystery series.
