Margaret Owen

Margaret Owen is an American author, who was born and raised at the end of the Oregon Trail. From a young age, she developed a love for books and spent much of her childhood exploring the halls of Powell's Books. After completing her degree in Japanese, she moved to Seattle, where she worked in a variety of fields, including thrift stores and presidential campaigns. These diverse experiences have provided her with valuable lessons that she has been able to apply to her writing career.

Currently, Margaret lives in Seattle and spends her days bringing her disgruntled characters to life on the page. She shares her home with two monstrous cats, with whom she has a love-hate relationship, much like her interactions with her fictional creations. Negotiating with these feline beasts has given her a unique perspective that she brings to her writing.

In addition to her writing and feline negotiations, Margaret enjoys exploring ill-advised travel destinations, immersing herself in new experiences and cultures. She is also passionate about social justice and uses her illustration skills to raise money for nonprofit organizations. Margaret's life experiences, both positive and negative, have shaped her into the author she is today, and she continues to draw inspiration from the world around her.
