Mariah Stewart is a successful and prolific American author, well-known for her novels in the romance, romantic suspense, and women's fiction genres. She has written a total of forty-one novels and three novellas, with several of her books making it to the New York Times and USA Today Bestseller lists. Stewart's works have also been featured in the Wall Street Journal.
Stewart's romantic suspense series, including Dead, Truth, Last and Mercy Street, have been highly successful, with her books winning numerous prestigious awards and nominations. She has received the Golden Leaf Award by the New Jersey Romance Writers' for three times in the Best Single Title Romance category in the years 1998, 2001 and 2002. Stewart, a native of Hightstown, New Jersey, currently resides in southern Chester County, PA, with her husband and a couple of rescue dogs. Before becoming a full-time writer, Stewart worked as a teacher and an insurance executive, but she considers her current job as the best one in the world, getting paid for making up stories in the comfort of her own home.
