Mark Tufo is a bestselling American author, well-known for his work in the horror, young adult, science fiction, post-apocalyptic, and zombie fiction genres. Tufo has created and written several popular novel series, including the Zombie Fallout series, the Indian Hill series, the Lycan Fallout series, The Book of Riley series, and A Shrouded World series. His works have gained a significant following, with the Zombie Fallout series being a particular favorite among readers.
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Mark Tufo attended UMASS Amherst college, where he earned a bachelor's degree in arts. Upon graduation, Tufo joined the United States Marine Corp, gaining valuable life experiences that would later influence his writing. During his time in the Marine Corp, Tufo was stationed at Twenty Nine Palms, California; Kaneohe Bay, Hawaiian Islands; and Parris Island, South Carolina. These experiences have provided him with a unique perspective that is reflected in his novels' gritty and realistic settings and characters.
