Martin Woodhouse is a British author and scriptwriter, best known for his work on the television series The Avengers. Born in Romford, England, in 1932, Woodhouse attended Salisbury Cathedral School before going on to study Natural Sciences at Downing College. He later pursued a career in Medicine, studying at St. Mary’s Hospital.
In addition to his work on The Avengers, Woodhouse has also authored or co-authored eleven novels. He is particularly known for his science fiction and thriller books, having written the Giles Yoeman series and co-authored the Leonardo Da Vinci series with Robert Ross. Woodhouse's diverse background in medicine, piloting, engineering, and computer design has no doubt contributed to the richness and depth of his writing.
Despite his accomplished career as a writer, Woodhouse has remained a private figure, with little information available about his personal life.
