Matt Haig is a renowned author known for his work across various genres, including horror, children's fiction, literary fiction, science fiction, and young adult fantasy. Hailing from Sheffield, England, Haig has made a significant impact in the literary world with his unique storytelling style that often blends elements of fantasy with domestic reality. He has published more than ten novels, several single standing novels, collections, and novellas, which have been translated into over 30 languages.
Before establishing himself as a successful author, Haig initially dreamt of becoming a graphic designer. He received his education in Nottinghamshire primary school and Newark-on-Trent secondary school, followed by studies in European Studies at Hull University, where he later switched to History and English. He obtained his master's degree in English from Leeds University. In addition to his academic pursuits, Haig gained experience by establishing and running an internet marketing company and working for a nightclub in Spain.
