Matt Hilton

Matt Hilton is a renowned British author, known for his thriller novels. From a young age, Hilton had a passion for writing, even attempting to write his first novel at the age of eleven. Before becoming a published author, Hilton worked in security and as a policeman. His experiences in these fields have greatly influenced his writing, particularly in creating authentic and thrilling action scenes.

Hilton has cited several authors as his influences, including Jeffery Deaver, Dean Koontz, Robert Crais, and Robert Howard. These influences are evident in Hilton's writing style, which is often compared to American-style thrillers. Hilton is perhaps best known for his series character, Joe Hunter, who appears in his popular thriller series.

In addition to writing under his real name, Hilton also uses the pen name Vallon Jackson for some of his works. He is a 4th Dan blackbelt and coach in Ju-Jitsu and uses his martial arts background to add authenticity to his fight scenes. Hilton is also a family man, living in Cumbria with his wife and son.

Hilton's debut novel, "Dead Men's Dust," was a Sunday Times best-seller and was shortlisted for the ITW New Novel Award 2009.
