Matthew Iden

Matthew Iden is a diverse author who has written in various genres including horror, science fiction, fantasy, thriller, and crime fiction. He is best known for his Marty Singer detective series, which features a retired Washington DC detective who must deal with a cancer diagnosis. Iden's writing often contains a psychological twist, adding depth and complexity to his characters and stories.

Iden's background is as varied as his writing. He studied English literature in college, but it was not until much later that he began to publish his work. During the tech boom of the early and mid-nineties, Iden worked in the tech industry and made a good living. He also held a variety of jobs at the Forest Service in Sitka, Alaska, at an international nonprofit, and with the US Postal Service. These experiences, along with travels to Iceland, Patagonia, and Antarctica, provided a wealth of material for his creative writing.

In addition to the Marty Singer series, Iden has written several stand-alone novels, including the psychological suspense novel "The Winter Over" and the suspense novel "Birthday Girl." He has a wide range of interests and is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to explore different genres and styles.
