Meg Mitchell Moore is a distinguished American author, well-known for her works in romance and literary fiction. Moore's passion for writing started at a young age, and she has always been drawn to the world of books. Raised as a daughter of a US Navy officer, she had the opportunity to live in various places, including Spain, before her family settled in the United States. Growing up in a home with no internet or television, Moore turned to reading for entertainment, a habit that stayed with her throughout her life. Her mother, an avid library-goer, introduced Moore and her sister to the local library whenever they moved to a new place, instilling in them a love for reading and learning.
Moore pursued her passion for literature in her academic journey, earning her B.A. from Providence College and her Master's degree in English Literature from New York University. Although she initially planned to become a professor of English, Moore found herself drawn to journalism, a field that allowed her to exercise her writing skills and love for storytelling. She started her career as a freelance journalist, writing feature articles for various publications before joining a group of technology magazines. It was during her time in the magazine industry that Moore began to consider writing fiction.
Since then, Moore has published five novels, including "The Arrivals," "So Far Away," "The Admissions," "The Captain's Daughter," and "The Islanders."
