Melinda Leigh is a successful author of romantic suspense novels, well-known for her series such as She Can and Midnight. Originally from Pennsylvania, she worked as a banker before discovering her passion for writing. After joining the Romance Writers of America, Leigh decided to pursue a career in writing, turning her hobby into a profession.

She has also taught women's self-defense. Leigh is a dog lover and shares her home with her husband, teenaged children, and two rescue dogs. Despite her sometimes dark and disturbing imagination, she leads a pleasant life near the beach.
