Melissa Grey is a distinguished author of YA fantasy novels, best known for her Girl at Midnight series. Born and raised in New York City, Melissa discovered her passion for writing at a young age. She wrote her first short story when she was twelve, and has been writing ever since. Melissa pursued a fine arts degree at Yale University, which was followed by a world tour. Upon her return to New York City, she began working as a freelance journalist.
Melissa is particularly fond of writing fantasy and young adult novels. Her writing career is represented by literary agent Catherine Drayton from InkWell Management. The Girl at Midnight series, which is comprised of three books, was released between 2015 and 2017. The series features Echo, a teenage girl living in New York who was adopted and raised by a race of nonhuman creatures capable of magic. Throughout the series, Echo is involved in pickpocketing, an old love of more than a century, and an old war. As the series progresses, Echo discovers startling truths about her world and her own life.
In addition to writing, Melissa enjoys participating in sports activities such as horseback riding and archery. She has also penned "Rated" and is currently working on her next book.
