Melissa Kay Clarke was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and grew up in Houlka, a small rural town located southwest of Natchez Trace. As a child, she developed a love for reading and would quickly devour everything she could get her hands on. Clarke was frequently told that she had a wonderful imagination, which led her to start writing down her musings. By the time she was in college, she had already written her first novel, although it was never published and has since been lost.
Clarke's desire to write was reawakened in 2012 following the death of a close friend who had also aspired to become an author. This tragic event reminded Clarke that life is short and that she should not ignore her dreams. Determined to finish and publish at least one book, Clarke achieved her goal less than a year later with the publication of "Shattered Dreams." She currently resides in Meridian, Mississippi with her supportive family, which includes her husband, Robert, her daughter Rebecca, two cats, and two dogs. When she's not writing, Clarke enjoys spending time with her online friends, reading, and watching videos on YouTube. She has written several novels that cover various genres, including paranormal and romantic suspense.
