Mia Pride is a successful American author, best known for her Scottish and Irish historical romance novels. She has written several series, including the Sisters of Danu, the Warriors of Eriu, the Baby on Board series, and the Irvines of Drum series. Her work has been well-received, earning her awards and a dedicated following of readers.
Beyond her writing, Pride is a mother of two human boys and many furry pets, living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Balancing her roles as an author and a mother can be challenging, but she has found a way to make it work, much to the amazement of those around her. As a child, Pride was drawn to fantasy stories and spent her time writing her own tales, preferring to live in a world where the line between reality and fantasy was blurred. This early love of storytelling stayed with her throughout her life, and she continued to enter writing contests and have her work published in small newspapers and school magazines.
Pride received her Bachelor's degree in Health Science from California State University, East Bay and recently completed an editing certificate with the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, she is both self-published and small-press-published with Dragonblade Publishing. When she's not writing or spending time with her family and pets, Pride enjoys reading, shopping for pug-themed items, and sipping on massive margaritas with her friends. Her favorite place to be is the Renaissance Faire, where she can be found cheering on the shirtless highlander in a kilt at the joust.
