Michael E. Bemis

Michael E. Bemis is an accomplished American author, renowned for his works of fiction and non-fiction. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Bemis has always been drawn to the field of law enforcement, even from a young age. However, his journey to becoming a well-known law enforcement officer in York County, Maine, was not without its challenges.

After graduating with a degree in Law Enforcement, Bemis struggled to break into the field. Nevertheless, he persevered and eventually became a corporal, Sergeant, and later the Lieutenant in the Kennebunk Police Department. In 1990, Bemis ran for Sheriff of York County on a Republican ticket and was successful in his bid. He served his constituents with dedication and distinction for the next four years before deciding not to run for re-election.

Following his tenure as Sheriff, Bemis turned his attention to his other passion - writing. He has since published five books, cementing his place as a respected author in the literary world. Despite his success in writing, Bemis remains committed to his community, volunteering in various programs and continuing to use his law enforcement expertise to make a positive impact.
