Michael Kardos is an accomplished American author, well-known for his works of short stories, mystery & thrillers, and literature & fiction. His writing has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Pushcart Prize for his books "Before He Finds Her" and "Bluff." The novel "The Three-Day Affair" was named as one of the Best Books of the Year by Esquire. Kardos' short story "One Last Good Time" was also awarded the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award.
Before becoming a successful author, Kardos lived in the Jersey Shore and pursued a career in music. He earned a degree in music from Princeton University and played the drums professionally for several years. His background in music has significantly influenced his writing, providing a unique perspective and style to his works. Later, Kardos decided to further his education and received his MFA from Ohio State and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
Currently, Kardos resides in Starkville, Mississippi, where he co-directs the writing program at Mississippi State University. His work has also been recognized by the PEN/O.
