Michael Malone is an acclaimed author of mystery, crime fiction, and thriller novels, as well as a writer for television shows. He was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, and went on to graduate from North Carolina University and Harvard University. In addition to his successful writing career, Malone is also a Theater Studies professor at Duke University.
Malone has written around ten full-length books, a short story collection, and a couple of nonfiction works. His writing has been well-received by both readers and critics, and he has won numerous prestigious awards for his work. These awards include an Emmy, a Henry, an Edgar, and a Writers' Guild Award.
In addition to his successful career as a novelist, Malone is also known for his work in television. He has contributed to the drama "One Life to Live" and has written for other television shows as well. He is particularly well-known for his work on the Justin and Cuddy mystery series.
Malone is currently working on a new standalone novel. He resides in Hillsborough, North Carolina with his wife, Maureen Quilligan, who is also a professor at Duke University.
