Michael Reisig

Michael Reisig is a successful and experienced author, known for his action-adventure novels, which often include humorous elements. Born in Enid, Oklahoma in 1948, he was the first son of a military family and was raised in Europe and California before moving to Florida. After graduating from college, he relocated to the Florida Keys, where he established a commercial diving business and began his writing career.

Before becoming a novelist, Reisig worked as a newspaper publisher and editor, as well as an award-winning columnist, for over fifteen years. He has received numerous accolades for his writing, including being named a bestselling novelist and an award-winning columnist. His debut novel, "The New Madrid Run," was published in 1998, but it was not until the publication of "The Road to Key West" in 2011 that he became a prolific author. Since then, he has written more than twenty novels, including those in the "Road to Key West" and "Caribbean Gold" series, as well as several standalone novels and an omnibus.

Reisig's writing has been well-received and his novels have been optioned for film and published in different territories across the world. He has been featured in a variety of magazines, such as "Southern Living" and "Writer's Digest," as well as numerous newspapers across the United States. His writing is informed by his extensive travels and adventures, having worked as a commercial diver and pilot, and having lived and traveled throughout the southern hemisphere, diving, treasure hunting, and adventuring. He now resides in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas, where he fishes, hunts, and writes his novels, occasionally escaping to the Caribbean for another adventure.
