Michael Walters is an English author who also writes under the pen name of Alex Walters. He has an extensive background in various industries, having worked in the oil industry, broadcasting, and banking. Over the last decade, he has also worked as a management consultant across the world, in environments ranging from parliaments to prisons. When not traveling, he lives in Manchester with his wife and three children.
Under the name Alex Walters, he has published a series of crime thrillers set in modern-day Mongolia, now re-published as new, re-edited versions. He has also written two thrillers set in and around Manchester featuring the undercover officer, Marie Donovan, Trust No-One and Nowhere to Hide. His latest series is set in the Peak District and features DI Annie Delamere, with the first three books in the series, Small Mercies, Lost Hours and Bad Terms, available now.
As Michael Walters, he is the author of the Nergui Mystery series, which is best known for its intriguing mystery and thriller books. He is also the author of the DCI McKay series and the DCI Kenny Murrain series, both of which have gained significant popularity among readers.
