Michelle Davies

Michelle Davies is a successful magazine writer and mystery fiction author, who hails from Middlesex and was born in 1972. Davies spent her formative years in Buckinghamshire before making the move to North London as an adult, where she now resides with her daughter and partner.

Davies' debut crime novel, Gone Astray, was published in 2016 and marked the beginning of a two-book deal with Pan Macmillan. The novel features Family Liaison Officer DC Maggie Neville as its central police character, and its success was followed by the release of Wrong Place, the second book in the series featuring Maggie. Davies' third book in the series, False Witness, is set for release in July of the following year, with a fourth book to follow in 2019.

In addition to her work as a crime fiction author, Davies has also established a successful career as a freelance journalist for various women's magazines. Her writing has been featured in publications such as Marie Claire, YOU, and Stylist. Prior to her freelance work, Davies held the position of Editor-at-Large at Grazia and was previously the Features Editor at heat. She began her career in journalism immediately after finishing school at the age of 18, taking on a role as a trainee reporter at her local newspaper, the Bucks Free Press.
