Mindee Arnett

Mindee Arnett is a successful author, known for her work in science fiction, young adult fantasy, and horror. From a young age, Arnett discovered her passion for writing and pursued it diligently. Despite facing numerous rejections when she first began submitting her work, she never gave up and continued to hone her craft.

Arnett holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English Literature from Wright State University in Dayton. When she is not writing, Arnett enjoys riding horses and has a love for all things related to magic, the macabre, and outer space. Her debut novel, The Nightmare Affair, is the first book in the Arkwell Academy series and was published by Tor Teen, an imprint of Macmillan, in March 2013. In addition to this series, Arnett has also written a young adult sci-fi thriller, Finding Eden, which was published by Balzer+Bray, an imprint of HarperCollins, in Winter 2014.

Arnett's short stories have been featured in various magazines, including Happy, and she has received an honorable mention in The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror 2008. She is represented by Suzie Townsend of New Leaf Literary and Media. Arnett lives on a horse farm in Ohio with her husband, two children, a few dogs, and an "inappropriate number" of cats.
